Matthew 7:13-29 The heart of God’s Kingdom What does it fundamentally mean to be in God’s Kingdom? Outwardly there may not be much difference between two people, they may both pray, go to Church, give to charity. Neither will commit murder or adultery but only one of them is going to make it to heaven. The difference lies in why they do or don’t do things. Listen to my message on Christ’s kingdom to find out more, the Rev |

Luke 6:19-38 Mateship, BBQs and the Kingdom of God Australians stick together, we like our BBQs and we all dream of owning our own home. Christ came with awesome power and everyone was really excited. Perhaps he was going to fulfil their dreams. Christ came to set us free from our dreams. It is our dreams that make us feel so disappointed when they are either unrealised or don’t satisfy. The values of Christ’s kingdom are the opposite of the world’s. This sets us free from having to be successful, powerful, and rich. Christ teaches that we already are those things spiritually because he has given us the Kingdom of God. the Rev |

01 The King and his Kingdom |
2 Samual 7:12-16, Matthew 1:18-25 An unusual King A king is someone that rules on a throne. They enjoy great privilege and the wealth of their country. Jesus Christ got off his throne, came down to earth and was born in a borrowed stable. He was buried in a borrowed tomb and he lived a life of poverty and service. He died in place of his subjects and rose from the dead. Currently he rules on his throne in heaven. Unlike earthly kings he cares for each and every one of his subjects, he hears their every cry and meet their every need. Christ is an unusual king. the Rev |
