Bono wrote a song which he sang at his Father's funeral "Sometimes you can't make it on your own."

This song is both a tribute and an expression of his love for his father. It's hard when people cut themselves off, when they seem to harden themselves and withdraw. None of us has been made to get through life on our own. Sometimes it's important to swallow our pride and accept the help we desperately need. For me I sometimes take this song as being sung to me by Jesus Christ because I often make the mistake of toughing things out on my own instead of accepting Christ's help.
