Gladiator without the clamour

Ancient Rome was not walk in the park unless you were a well connected rich male. The rich could exploit the poor without the poor having the right to legal action, although the rich could take legal action against the poor. Those who were not citizens had even less rights. Animals had more rights than slaves. Every country has its own class system. This message collides head on with the idea that the rich are better than the poor. This is confronting for us who enjoy the comforts that our middle class gives us. The challenge is to give due respect to everyone regardless of their social standing. the Rev
