Jesus was both vulnerable and invincible at the same time. He could be hurt, betrayed, frustrated and even angry but he could not be defeated. Christ in his death was Christ at his most invincible. When he suffered and died he conquered our greatest enemy, sin and its consequence, death. Christ was invincible in his love for God and his love for us.
